DD's Note System

Originally I had the ambitious goal of writing essays on every record I like. While I still hope to accomplish this before I die, I have come to the conclusion that it will take many years.

Please note that this note system is not necessarily based on a four-star system like most rating systems. Chances are if something is on this site, I like it. My notes are based mostly on the degree I like it or am familiar with it, not necessarily what is "critically correct."

• - Double Double-eighth notes: Créme de la créme AND One of my all-time favorites (goes to 11)
• - Double-eighth notes: Créme de la créme
• - Four quarter notes: Essential/Excellent
• - Three quarter notes: Highly recommended
• - Two quarter notes: Recommended if you like this artist
• - One quarter note - It's OK
