The Amberblacks
The Amberblacks are from Colchester, England, a little town in Essex not too far from the English Channel. I looked Colchester up on Google Earth and it looks like a little spot in the middle of nowhere. Hmmm, maybe like Kernersville, NC? Home of Mitch Easter's studio the Fidelitorium. Goes to show you don't have to be in the big city to produce great rock and roll.
The closest I have been to Colchester is Ipswich, where I landed from a ferry ride from Amsterdam. Long story that will some day make its way to Deaconlight.com.
I do want to get some more info to you about these dudes because I am so hooked. This MP3 of "Blood" by The Amberblacks is a demo, but I think it sounds good. Reminds me of the sound/production of Mission of Burma's - Signals, Calls and Marches.
Stay tuned. I want to find out more about this band and when I do I will post it here.
